Ai Ogura Eyes Redemption in MotoGP Lusail Circuit Debut After Challenging Austin

Japanese MotoGP hopeful Ai Ogura is poised to make his debut at the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar, carrying high hopes and positive memories from previous races in the desert. Following a challenging performance at the Grand Prix of the Americas, Ogura arrives in Qatar eager for redemption, fully motivated and confident in his abilities to deliver a strong result.

“For Qatar, my motivation is, of course, really high,” Ogura expressed with enthusiasm. “Compared to the Circuit of the Americas, I think Lusail is a bit softer and easier, let’s say. I just can’t wait to see what we can do and where we are there.”

Ogura emphasizes his affinity with the Lusail Circuit, noting, “The circuit is quite nice, I like this kind of track. Although I didn’t check what Aprilia did there in the last few years, I think we can be competitive.”

Despite his difficult start in Austin, Ogura remains resolute in his ambitions: “After a tough weekend in America, I really want to achieve something good in Qatar. We’ll see how it starts on Friday and then just improve day by day, session by session, and be ready for the main race, that’s the target. I just can’t wait to start on Friday!”

Ai Ogura’s past successes in Qatar, including a podium in Moto3 and two fourth-place finishes in Moto2, fuel his optimism for a solid weekend at this higher level of competition. The Lusail Circuit offers him an opportunity to showcase his skills and potentially make an impressive mark in the premier class.
