Alex Palou, a star driver for Chip Ganassi Racing, has been a dominant figure in IndyCar racing for over five years. Starting his professional journey in junior Formula categories, Palou climbed the ranks of European Formula racing before transitioning to IndyCar. His closest brush came at the 2021 Indy 500, where he fought a fierce battle against Helio Castroneves, only to see the seasoned Brazilian clinch the win. Although the top step of the podium has eluded him at ovals, Palou remains optimistic. He suggested improvements in his skills and expressed hope for a breakthrough at the Indy 500. The open test for the Indy 500 is currently taking place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from April 23 to 24, where Palou will join 33 confirmed entries.
