Brad Binder is returning to Silverstone focused on overcoming the difficulties he faced at Le Mans. The South African KTM rider aims to put behind a disappointing weekend in France and hopes to relaunch his season with a strong performance on the British circuit.
Looking to Bounce Back After a Difficult Weekend in Le Mans
After experiencing crashes in both races at Le Mans and failing to secure direct entry into Q2, Binder expressed relief and motivation to be back on track at Silverstone. Reflecting on his recent struggles, he said,
“Well, it’s cool to be back in Silverstone. Yeah. After last week in Le Mans, it’s good to ride again. Been a been a good week, did a lot of riding. Had a sweet week at home, so I really can’t complain. And, yeah, looking forward to getting back on the bike.”

He acknowledged the progress made during testing in Jerez but was candid about his inability to translate that into results at Le Mans. Binder admitted,
“I feel like, already at the Jerez test, we made a good step. Not good in Le Mans but I didn’t put nothing together at all. Crashing in both the races and then crashing to not get through to the Q2 also. And then, yeah, really didn’t, do a great job there at all so I want to try and clean things up this weekend, and I believe we can make it a good weekend.”

Positive Outlook on Silverstone’s Track Conditions
Binder sees Silverstone’s smooth and flat surface as an advantage for KTM’s bike performance. He explained,
“I think it’ll be quite okay. Well, it’s yet to be seen. I mean, one thing that works really good is this track’s super super, like, clean and flat. There’s not many bumps and stuff, so that always helps a lot so hopefully, it hasn’t got too much rough over the year.”

With strong finishes at Silverstone in recent years, Binder remains hopeful about his potential to score well again this weekend. He added,
“And, yeah, I honestly, I expect it to be a pretty good track for us. It was decent last year, decent the year before. And, yeah, I think that we could definitely be okay here.”

Implications for the Season Ahead
Brad Binder determined to recover at Silverstone signals his commitment to putting a difficult Le Mans behind him and focusing on consistency moving forward. Given the KTM team’s potential on smoother circuits and Binder’s determination, this weekend could be a turning point in his 2024 campaign. Strong results at Silverstone would not only restore confidence but also help regain valuable ground in the championship battle.
