Bubba Wallace Reacts to Daniel Suarez’s Trackhouse Breakup: “Love You Amigo, Let’s Have Some Fun”

Bubba Wallace recently expressed his feelings following Daniel Suarez’s announcement that he will part ways with Trackhouse Racing after the 2025 season. Suarez, who has been with Trackhouse since 2021, declared his departure from the team on social media, sparking reactions from fans and fellow drivers alike.

Daniel Suarez, born in Mexico, initially joined Trackhouse Racing following a brief period with Gaunt Brothers Racing. Since taking over the #99 Chevy in the NASCAR Cup Series, Suarez has achieved two victories, 23 top-five finishes, and 71 top-ten placements in 305 starts. Over his career at Trackhouse, he has also earned three pole positions and led a total of 886 laps.

In a public statement about his decision, Suarez reflected on the strong bond he formed with the team and its rapid rise in the sport:

“Trackhouse and I have mutually agreed to part ways at the end of the 2025 season,” Suarez said in a statement. “I’ve had some of the best years of my Cup Series career at Trackhouse. We had great successes as a team and I gained some incredible friends. We took a team nobody had even heard of in 2021 and in just a couple of years we were winning races and running upfront on a weekly basis.”

Following this announcement, Bubba Wallace, who drives for 23XI Racing, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a supportive message for his friend and competitor:

“Love you amigo. Lots of races left this year. Let’s have some fun!”

The two drivers recently competed head-to-head at the Quaker State 400 held at EchoPark Speedway. Wallace finished the demanding 260-lap race in 22nd place, whereas Suarez came in 34th, just behind his teammate Ross Chastain.

Bubba Wallace Opens Up on Pressure from Teammate Tyler Reddick’s Strong Season

Earlier in 2025, Bubba Wallace shared his honest thoughts on handling the challenges posed by his 23XI Racing teammate Tyler Reddick’s impressive performance this year. In April, during an episode of the Happy Hour podcast hosted by 2014 NASCAR Cup Champion Kevin Harvick, Wallace discussed the pressure he feels keeping pace with Reddick.

“Seeing the success of the 45, not from a jealousy standpoint, but it’s like ‘I have the same stuff,’ and I feel like I’m just as competitive as Tyler. I put all that weight on me, that pressure on me. So, I’m back in the gym, and nobody’s telling me, ‘Hey, you need to work out to run better; you need to be in more meetings to understand better.’ I took that upon myself as, like, ‘I’m doing just enough to get by, and that’s not okay.” [05:20 onwards]

Wallace currently stands 13th in the NASCAR Cup Series points rankings with 428 points, while Reddick holds sixth place with 533 points. Both drivers have shown consistent form this season. Wallace boasts six top-ten finishes and three top-fives, while Reddick has recorded six top-tens, four top-fives, and earned one pole position.

Implications of Suarez’s Departure and Wallace’s Season Outlook

Suarez’s exit from Trackhouse Racing marks a significant shift for the team, which rose quickly to prominence in the NASCAR Cup Series under his and other drivers’ efforts. His decision signals upcoming changes in driver lineups and team strategies heading into the next season. Meanwhile, Bubba Wallace’s candid reflections on competition highlight his determination to elevate his performance amid strong challenges from teammates and rivals.

As both drivers continue to compete through the current season, their performances will be closely watched by fans and analysts. Wallace’s commitment to pushing himself physically and mentally suggests he is aiming to improve his standings, while Suarez’s forthcoming moves after leaving Trackhouse will also generate interest regarding his next racing chapter.
