NASCAR Cup star Christopher Bell is set to make an exciting return to the Sprint Car scene on May 2 at Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas. Joining the Kreitz Racing team, Bell will pilot the renowned No. 69K car as part of the POWRi Elite Outlaw 410 Sprint Car Series. The timing aligns well with the NASCAR Cup event at Texas Motor Speedway that weekend, located just two hours away in Fort Worth.
During his last Sprint Car appearance, Bell participated in the Kubota High Limit Racing season opener at Las Vegas. Unfortunately, adverse weather conditions forced an unexpected schedule change, preventing him from racing due to commitments with Joe Gibbs Racing’s NASCAR team. Despite this setback, Bell’s Sprint Car season has shown promise. In four outings at Florida’s Volusia Speedway Park in January with the World of Outlaws, Bell secured one win and a second-place finish, though mechanical issues compromised two other races.
In addition to these achievements, Bell’s prowess during time trials is evident, with an average qualifying position of 4.3 in the three timed events he completed. A mechanical problem prior to a qualifying session on February 8, however, shortened his race night prematurely.
Christopher Bell’s return to Sprint Car racing is eagerly awaited by fans and racers alike. This event not only highlights his versatility and dedication to motorsport but could also influence his NASCAR career, potentially enhancing his skills for upcoming challenges. The excitement surrounding his participation at Rocket Raceway Park promises to be a captivating addition to the racing calendar.
