Alon Day Bio
Alon Day (Hebrew: אלון דאי; born 4 November 1991) is an Israeli professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 24 Toyota GR Supra for Sam Hunt Racing, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, piloting the No. 25 Toyota Camry for Venturini Motorsports. Alon Day is notable for being the first Israeli driver to compete in an IndyCar-sanctioned series and the first Israeli to participate in one of NASCAR’s top three touring series.
Early Life and Background
Alon Day was born in Ashdod, Israel, and currently resides in Tel Aviv. He comes from a Jewish family; his father, Avi Day, owns a geological-engineering company involved in mineral drilling, while his mother, Maggi, immigrated to Israel from France. Day began his racing career at the age of 10 with go-karts, a passion that was nurtured by his father, who gifted him a karting vehicle for his bar mitzvah. After completing high school, Day served three years in the Israel Defense Forces, where he was recognized as an outstanding sportsman, a distinction given to him as the only Israeli in a Formula sport.
