Antron developed an interest in racing early on, maintaining cars as a child and starting to race motorcycles at age six. By age 12, he was racing motocross on a course he built on the family farm, and he participated in his first competitive drag race during his senior year of high school.
Brown attended Northern Burlington County Regional High School and later studied at Mercer County Community College, where he excelled as a track athlete, specializing in sprinting and long jumping. He graduated in 1997 with an associate’s degree in business administration. His athletic prowess earned him a full scholarship to run track at Long Island University, but he was also drawn into the world of racing through connections with football player Troy Vincent, who was starting a racing team.
Path to NHRA
Antron Brown began his professional racing career in the NHRA’s Pro Stock Motorcycle division in 1998, initially racing with Team 23 Racing, which was founded by his cousin’s husband, Troy Vincent.
