He last competed full-time in the ARCA Menards Series West, driving the No. 51 Chevrolet SS for Strike Mamba Racing and part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 22 Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing. Lothian began his racing journey in go-karts before advancing through various developmental racing series.

Blake Lothian was born in Wellesley, Massachusetts, United States. He graduated from Wellesley High School in the Class of 2021. In a personal interview, Lothian revealed that he has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). He has cited NASCAR driver Michael McDowell as his favorite driver.
Lothian started his racing career at the age of five, competing in go-karts. He raced in the F1 Boston Series from 2014 to 2017, winning the championship in 2017. That same year, he also secured the Summer 2017 New Hampshire Karting Association Series Championship.
