Jordan Anderson Bio
Jordan Lee Anderson is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He competes part-time in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, driving the No. 32 Chevrolet Camaro SS for his own team, Jordan Anderson Racing. Anderson is also a businessman, manufacturer, and crew chief who is largely self-funded.
Early Life and Background
Jordan Lee Anderson was born on April 15, 1991, in Forest Acres, South Carolina. The South Carolina native grew up near Columbia and began racing karts at the age of eight. He has spent most of his life working his way up through the short tracks of the Southeast.
As a young racer, Anderson progressed from karts into Legends cars and then into full-bodied Late Model stock cars. He attended Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina, where he earned a degree in business and marketing. That education, combined with a hands-on work ethic, would later help him build and operate his own race team.
Path to NASCAR
Anderson made one start in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East in 2013, along with two starts in the CARS X-1R Pro Cup Series and various Late Model races. In April 2014, he attempted to run the full K&N Pro Series East schedule at Richmond, but his car owner began writing bad checks and the team was forced to close. Anderson sold one of his own personally-owned Super Late Models to pay off the debt and protect his reputation.
That same year, Anderson made his NASCAR national-series debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Phoenix. He finished the 2014 season with Mike Harmon Racing and continued there in 2015, buying a truck with his own savings to qualify for the Daytona race. He also made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in the 2015 Bristol night race, learning the higher level of competition while running a near full Truck schedule for Harmon.

Early Career (2014–2015)
Anderson’s first two national-series seasons were spent with Mike Harmon Racing in the Truck Series. In 2015, he ran nearly the full schedule and finished nineteenth in the final driver points standings, with a best finish of thirteenth at Michigan. He also made his Xfinity Series debut that year at Bristol, gaining experience against the sport’s deeper fields.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Breakthrough (2016–2020)
In 2016, Anderson joined Bolen Motorsports for the full Truck schedule, driving the No. 66 Silverado with sponsorship from Columbia, SC – Famously Hot. He locked in the final qualifying spot at Daytona, posted eight top-twenty finishes, and finished in the top twenty in the championship standings for a second consecutive year. He also ran five Xfinity Series races that season, four for Obaika Racing and one for Precision Performance Motorsports.
The 2017 season was defined by perseverance. After failing to qualify at Daytona with Mike Harmon Racing and losing his truck in an early crash at Atlanta, Anderson launched the fan-funded SponsorJordan.com campaign to raise money for a new truck. He also teamed with TJL Motorsports, using TJL’s owner points while bringing his own equipment to the track, and finished inside the top twenty in Truck Series driver points for a third straight season. Former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace stepped in to help him with funding after Gateway.
On January 31, 2018, Anderson announced the formation of his own team, Jordan Anderson Racing, and committed to running the full Truck Series schedule in the No. 3. The team acquired trucks from Niece Motorsports and Brad Keselowski Racing, and the number 3 was chosen in connection with legendary car owner Junior Johnson. For 2019, he ran a full Truck schedule again, signing Wally Rogers as crew chief midway through the season.
Anderson’s breakthrough moment came in the 2020 season opener at Daytona. He escaped multiple wrecks, and on the final lap he dove under leader Grant Enfinger exiting turn four. Enfinger then bumped his door, slowing his momentum, and Enfinger held on to win while Anderson finished a career-best second. Anderson moved his team to a full-time Xfinity Series schedule ahead of 2021, while continuing to run selected Truck Series races. He again finished second in the Daytona Truck race, this time behind Ben Rhodes, and scored a top-ten finish at Darlington after switching to Truck Series points for the Triple Truck Challenge. Mid-season, he scaled back his own driving duties to part-time so that more experienced drivers could build owner points in the No. 31, protecting the team from missing races when qualifying was canceled by weather.
In 2022, Jordan Anderson Racing signed Myatt Snider to drive the No. 31 car full-time in the Xfinity Series, while Anderson continued to run part-time in the Truck Series. During the Talladega Truck Series playoff race on October 1, 2022, Anderson survived a fiery crash that left him with second-degree burns. The next spring, at Talladega on April 22, 2023, Jeb Burton delivered the first NASCAR national-series win for Jordan Anderson Racing in the Xfinity Series race, validating the team’s growth.
Anderson’s only driving appearance in 2023 came in the summer Daytona Xfinity race in his No. 27 car, with his father-in-law and NASCAR on Fox commentator Larry McReynolds coming out of retirement to serve as his crew chief.
