Following a remarkable recovery at the Americas GP in Austin, Enea Bastianini is heading to the MotoGP round in Qatar with an optimistic outlook. After starting from 17th position in Austin and finishing seventh, his performance reflects an upward trajectory. Riding for Red Bull KTM Tech3, Bastianini feels he is finally syncing with the KTM RC16, and he sees the Lusail circuit as a prime location to continue his progress.

Reflecting on the previous race, Bastianini said, ‘We made good progress in Austin, I felt good in the race and we achieved an excellent result, going from 17th on the grid to 7th, and I think we can take another step this week in Qatar’. His confidence stems from past successes at the Lusail track, where he has emerged victorious before. He believes his familiarity with the circuit will aid his advancement in the standings. ‘Lusail is one of my favorite tracks, where we’ve had great moments in the past, so I’m really curious to get there and see how we’ll perform with the KTM’, he stated.

The switch to the Austrian motorcycle has been largely favorable for Bastianini. The promise shown in Austin points towards a more stable performance as the season advances. The Italian racer anticipates that the unique conditions of the night race in Qatar may further enhance his performance.
