Fabio Di Giannantonio Eyes More Success: ‘No Pressure at Qatar GP’

Fabio Di Giannantonio has been steadily overcoming his injuries from last summer. Marking a return to form, he secured his first podium since 2023 in Austin. Now heading into the Qatar GP, the scene of his premier class victory, Di Giannantonio is eager to maintain his upward trajectory. He emphasizes the importance of reaching his maximum potential, saying, “Let’s say that for sure arriving here with a podium is great, but if it were another track it would be the same. My focus is to reach the maximum level of my abilities, and try to stay there.”

As the Pertamina Enduro VR46 rider enters the Qatar GP arena, he dismisses any increased pressure, underscoring his commitment to consistency. “I don’t put an extra pressure on myself about this track,” Di Giannantonio explains. Despite Lusail’s sentimental value as a venue with a significant personal history, his strategy is to concentrate on preparation rather than being consumed by the outcome. He mentions that his competitors are formidable and shares his intent to focus, enjoy the process with his team, and strive for improvement.

Reflecting on his affinity with the Lusail circuit, Di Giannantonio notes, “Honestly, it’s a track where I’m usually really good in some specific points. Until last year, even if I was struggling a bit more compared to 2023, I was still the strongest in those parts.” His aim is to leverage these strengths again this year to maintain his speed and competitiveness.

The significance of this event for Di Giannantonio lies in its potential to continue his positive racing momentum. Keeping a cool head, he focuses on team collaboration and maintaining a strong performance in the upcoming races. The Qatar GP represents not just another opportunity for success, but a chance to solidify his standing and push his boundaries further. With his eyes set on the future, Di Giannantonio and his team are poised for a thrilling racing season ahead.
