Fabio Quartararo Anticipates Scorching, Challenging Qatar GP at Lusail

Fabio Quartararo, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider, is gearing up for the Qatar GP at Lusail with high expectations. He has progressively improved his performance this season, finishing tenth in Austin just over a week ago. The upcoming race in Qatar promises higher temperatures than last year’s event, largely because it is scheduled a few weeks later.

“Lusail was usually the first track we would visit, but this year the order changed. Because of this, it feels like we haven’t been here in a long time, also because we had no test here in the preseason. We know that we can expect higher temperatures than during last year’s GP, because this time we are visiting in April. I expect it will be a hot GP weekend and a long race, but I’m looking forward to it,” Quartararo shared, outlining his anticipation for the challenging conditions ahead.

Following a less-than-ideal performance at the GP of the Americas, Quartararo is eager to bounce back: “We didn’t get the results we wanted in Austin, but we did see some positives, especially in the Sprint. So, I’m looking forward to trying again this weekend, though I know the competition will be tough.”

The impending race in Qatar holds significant importance for Quartararo as he seeks to deliver a strong performance. Expectations are high, given the rise in temperatures and the extended race weekend. As Quartararo aims to capitalize on the positives observed in previous rounds, the outcome of the Qatar GP could influence the trajectory of his season, offering both challenges and opportunities in equal measure.
