Franco Morbidelli, the Italian rider for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, is gearing up to return at the French Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship. After sustaining an injury during a crash in Sunday’s race at Jerez, Morbidelli remains confident about facing the challenge at Le Mans, a circuit where he holds strong memories and hopes to maintain his momentum.
Currently fourth in the championship standings, Morbidelli has already secured two podium finishes this season, signaling his competitive form.
“Le Mans is another really important race for us,”
he emphasized, underlining the significance of the event for his team’s championship ambitions. The Italian rider and his squad are focused on continuing their impressive pace and speed at the French circuit, aiming to deliver a strong performance.
Le Mans holds a special place in Franco Morbidelli’s heart, having claimed victory there in 2017 in the Moto2 category. He also made a commendable comeback during last year’s main race at the same track. Reflecting on the circuit, Morbidelli shared,
“I like the track, last year I had a good comeback in the main race, so I’m confident about the track.”
Regarding his fitness following the Jerez crash, Morbidelli remains cautiously optimistic.
“Talking about my physical condition, I feel better, but I want to see how I feel on the bike. I’m looking forward to carrying out our clean work programme and having both races at our best,”
he explained. His positive attitude and determination signal a strong return, as he looks to keep his championship hopes alive at Le Mans and beyond.
