Hailie Deegan’s Progress in the 2025 Indy NXT Season
Currently, Hailie competes in the 2025 Indy NXT series, the junior category of IndyCar, piloting the #38 car for HMD Motorsports. At this point in the season, she ranks 19th in the drivers‘ standings with 119 points but is still pursuing her first top-10 finish or race victory.
Before transitioning to open-wheel racing, Deegan competed in stock car events, including the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the Craftsman Truck Series. In the Truck Series, she made 69 starts and achieved five top-10 finishes. However, in her 18 Xfinity Series outings, she did not register any top-five, top-10, or podium results.
Deegan’s Reflections on Joining the Indy NXT Circuit
Alongside her mother’s birthday message, Hailie Deegan shared her own perspective on competing in the Indy NXT series ahead of the 2025 season. Reflecting on the opportunity, she expressed enthusiasm about joining a reputable team and learning from seasoned professionals. She stated,
