In a surprising development, Isack Hadjar from Racing Bulls has expressed his readiness to race independently following Liam Lawson‘s replacement at Red Bull by Yuki Tsunoda. Emphasizing his self-sufficiency, Hadjar confidently stated that he does not need anyone exceptional alongside him to perform at his best.
Lawson, in his rookie Formula 1 journey, was relocated back to Racing Bulls just two race weekends into the season. This decision made room for Tsunoda to join the Red Bull team, initially favoring Lawson over Tsunoda as Sergio Perez’s replacement. The team now envisages a better synergy with Tsunoda alongside the seasoned four-time champion Max Verstappen.
Paired with a fellow rookie instead of the more seasoned Tsunoda, who spent four years with the team, Hadjar remains optimistic. Addressing questions about Lawson’s presence, he asserted, “I don’t need anyone special alongside to push myself to drive as fast as I can.”
Recently, both Red Bull and Racing Bulls teams participated in the electrifying Flat Out in Tokyo showrun, powered by Honda. During this event, all four drivers – Hadjar, Lawson, Verstappen, and Tsunoda – exhibited their skills on the bustling streets of Tokyo, each maneuvering impressive vehicles.
Reflecting on the showrun, Hadjar observed that despite recent shifts, camaraderie remained intact among the drivers, who are acutely aware of the sport’s intense competitiveness and inherent challenges.
The 2025 season heralds the culmination of Red Bull’s collaboration with Honda, commemorated by a distinctive all-white livery for the final Japanese Grand Prix. This livery holds significant nostalgic value, honoring the 60th anniversary of Honda’s debut Formula 1 victory in 1965 at the Mexican Grand Prix, achieved by Richie Ginther in the RA272.
With unfolding events at Red Bull Racing, fans eagerly await the evolving dynamics among the drivers on the track. Stay engaged for more exhilarating updates from the thrilling world of Formula 1.
