Amid increasing speculation about the MotoGP rider market for 2026, Jack Miller has clarified his intentions regarding his career. Although linked recently to the Superbike World Championship with Honda, Miller remains focused on continuing with Pramac Yamaha, where his current contract extends through 2025. The Australian rider confirmed his desire to stay committed to his current team despite the uncertainty surrounding his long-term future.
Current Contract Situation and Miller’s Outlook
Miller’s deal with Prima Pramac Yamaha expires at the end of 2025, allowing him to explore other opportunities if necessary. However, ahead of the British GP, he expressed a clear preference to maintain his position.
“Obviously that’s the goal, but we’ll wait and see. If we get the results, the job will come, but we’ll have to wait and see. I’m trying to do the best I can, I feel like we’re making headway here in this project, and I’d love to keep going at it. But it’s still very early,”
he stated.
Competition and Potential Replacements in the MotoGP Lineup
The competition for Miller’s seat includes notable riders such as Toprak Razgatlioglu and others who may be seeking seats if they lose their current rides. Additionally, promising talents from Moto2 are emerging as potential contenders. Despite these possibilities, Miller currently has no other plans outside of Pramac. He emphasized his focus on the present challenge, remarking,
“There’s also young kids in Moto2 winning multiple races and looking strong. So, I’ll wait and see. Do I have anything else lined up? No. Have I put the fingers out there or anything? No, not really. My main goal is to do well here, try to stay here.”
The Importance of Stability for Miller and What Lies Ahead
With the MotoGP market poised for significant shifts ahead of the 2026 season, Miller’s determination to remain with Pramac Yamaha signals his commitment to building on current progress. His focus on results and stability underlines the cautious but optimistic approach he is taking as negotiations and potential team changes unfold over the coming months. The rider’s decision will likely impact both his career trajectory and the team’s plans going forward.
