Jack Miller‘s future with Yamaha Pramac has been uncertain for several months, as Yamaha evaluated its options for the 2026 MotoGP season. The team has now confirmed that Miller will remain as their rider, partnering with two-time WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu in the satellite squad next year. This announcement solidifies Miller’s role in the team and sets the stage for continued collaboration.
Miller’s Optimism and Commitment to Yamaha Pramac
Miller expressed enthusiasm about his contract renewal, stating,
“I’m really happy and excited to stay with Yamaha and the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team,”
highlighting his positive outlook. Reflecting on the current season, he acknowledged the strong comeback he has experienced with Pramac Racing and emphasized his focus on working closely with Yamaha to improve the bike and reduce the performance gap with other manufacturers.
He added,
“I believe the best is still to come. Most of all, I want to say a massive thank you to Yamaha, Pramac Racing, and to the two Paolos, Pavesio and Campinoti, for their continuous trust in my contribution to the project.”
Yamaha Praises Miller’s Impact on the Team
Paolo Pavesio, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, lauded Miller as an essential asset for the team. Pavesio said,
“We are pleased to confirm that Jack will continue his journey with the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team,”
affirming the value Miller brings through his energy, versatility, and extensive experience with various motorcycles.
He further emphasized Miller’s positive influence during a season marked by significant innovation and development, saying,
“With a full year of experience on the Yamaha, these qualities will be a tremendous asset as we look ahead to the 2026 season.”
Miguel Oliveira‘s Departure Following Miller‘s Renewal
The decision to retain Miller means that teammate Miguel Oliveira will leave the team at the conclusion of 2025. Oliveira, who was riding under a one-plus-one contract, will not have his option extended by Yamaha.

Pavesio acknowledged the bittersweet nature of this transition:
“At the same time, this announcement comes with mixed emotions, as it also marks the upcoming departure of Miguel.”
He recognized Oliveira’s professional attitude despite a season hampered by injury in Argentina, noting,
“Unfortunately, his season was impacted by the injury he sustained in Argentina, but his commitment to returning to the bike, his dedication to the project, and his professionalism have been exemplary.”
Concluding his remarks, Pavesio affirmed the team‘s support, saying,
“We look forward to the remaining races together and remain fully committed to supporting him throughout the rest of the MotoGP season.”
Current Standings and Upcoming Challenges
Miller currently occupies 17th place in the riders’ championship with 52 points as the MotoGP field prepares for the Grand Prix of Catalonia at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The confirmed continuation of his partnership with Yamaha Pramac sets an optimistic tone for Miller’s future performance and contributions to the team’s development efforts heading into 2026.
