Justin Haley’s No. 7 Chevy Spotlights Gainbridge Super League in Richmond NASCAR Race Boosting Women’s Sports

The Gainbridge Super League, a professional Division I women’s soccer league, will headline as the primary sponsor on Justin Haley’s No. 7 Chevrolet ZL1 during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway on August 15. This prominent partnership highlights the increasing visibility for women’s sports, coinciding with the league’s rising profile ahead of its upcoming season.

Founded in 2024 under the sanction of U.S. Soccer and operated by the United Soccer League (USL), the Gainbridge Super League focuses on broadening access to top-tier women’s soccer across the United States. Gainbridge®, a company based in Zionsville, Indiana, secured naming rights to the league earlier this year, establishing itself as the first major entitlement partner for a professional soccer league in the country. The league officially launched on July 1 and will expand to nine teams for the 2025-2026 season, including the recently added Sporting Jax. The second season will begin with a full slate of four games on August 23, all of which will be streamed live on Peacock.

League Leadership Emphasizes National Exposure and Future Growth

Amanda Vandervort, President of the Gainbridge Super League, expressed pride in the league’s first season under its new branding and emphasized the importance of playing on a national platform.

“As we begin our first season as the Gainbridge Super League, we’re proud to celebrate our players, clubs, and communities on a national stage,”

she said.

“Through our partnership with Gainbridge, and with support from Spire Motorsports, we’re reaching new audiences and building on the momentum that’s driving the future of women’s sports.”

Haley’s No. 7 Car Features All Nine League Teams

The No. 7 Chevrolet driven by Haley will prominently display the logos of all nine Gainbridge Super League teams: Brooklyn FC, Carolina Ascent FC, Dallas Trinity FC, DC Power FC, Fort Lauderdale United FC, Lexington SC, Spokane Zephyr FC, Sporting Jax, and Tampa Bay Sun FC. Spire Motorsports, the racing team backing Haley, plans to host players from these teams throughout the race weekend, further deepening the connection between <a href="https://www.big14news.com/nascar/”>NASCAR and women’s professional soccer.

Mike Nichols, Gainbridge’s Chief of Sponsorship Strategy and Activation, highlighted the significance of this collaboration.

“We are excited to use our Spire Motorsports NASCAR platform to highlight the kickoff of the newly rebranded Gainbridge Super League being broadcast live on Peacock starting next weekend,”

Nichols said.

“It is especially meaningful to have athlete representatives in Richmond, with their respective logos highlighted on the No. 7 Chevrolet. This furthers our commitment to not only investing in women’s sports, but building meaningful awareness for the teams, leagues, and athletes we invest in.”

Justin Haley’s Racing Background and Connection to Indiana

Justin Haley, a Winamac, Indiana native, brings extensive NASCAR experience to this partnership, boasting 167 NASCAR Cup Series starts and victories across all three major NASCAR divisions: Cup, Xfinity, and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. This season, Haley has secured one top-10 and six top-15 finishes, demonstrating consistent performance.

Haley’s history at Richmond Raceway includes eight Cup Series starts, with his best finish being 21st in August 2022. In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Haley has also thrived at Richmond, recording two runner-up finishes in 2020 and 2021.

Haley Expresses Excitement About Supporting Women’s Sports

Reflecting on the sponsorship, Haley emphasized Gainbridge’s dedication to women’s sports and the opportunity this collaboration presents to showcase both NASCAR and women’s soccer.

“Gainbridge has been incredibly passionate about supporting women and sports, and the Gainbridge Super League is just another example of their commitment to that effort,”

he stated.

“It’s been exciting to watch everything come together ahead of the Gainbridge Super League season. Some of the players came out to North Wilkesboro and we had a great time, so I can’t wait to show the rest of the league what NASCAR is all about. Richmond is one of my favorite tracks and the No. 7 team has been making a lot of gains over the last few months. I’m looking forward to putting the Gainbridge Super League up front and kicking off their second season with a good run at Richmond.”
