Kurt Busch’s Racing Career and Legacy
Kurt Busch, the 2004 Cup Series Champion, completed a remarkable 22-year career with 34 wins. Starting in 2000, he raced for prominent teams such as 23XI Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing, Stewart–Haas Racing, Furniture Row Racing, Phoenix Racing, Penske Racing, and Roush Racing. Busch notably secured the first “Chase for the Cup” title and became one of only 36 drivers to win in NASCAR’s top three divisions: the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Camping World Truck Series. His racing career abruptly ended after an accident at Pocono in 2022.

Ray Hendrick, dubbed “Mr. Modified,” is celebrated for more than 700 wins in Modified and Late Model Sportsman events, marking him as a dominant figure in short track racing.
Selection Process and Upcoming Induction Ceremony
The 2026 inductees were chosen from a pool of nominees by a voting panel consisting of 65 ballots, including one fan poll ballot. This careful selection process picks two individuals from the Modern Era Ballot and one from the Pioneer Ballot. NASCAR plans to officially honor the new Hall of Famers at an induction ceremony on February 6, 2026, celebrating their lasting contributions to the sport and ensuring their legacies endure.
