Kyle Busch Shares Heartfelt Family Workout Session Ahead of Race Weekend

Kyle Busch recently documented a workout session with his children, Brexton and Lennix, at a 1st Phorm gym facility. The 40-year-old NASCAR driver posted the video on Instagram on Friday, just days before the upcoming race weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois, sharing a personal moment ahead of the competitive event.

Busch is also a prominent endorser of Phorm Energy, an energy drink developed through a partnership involving 1st Phorm, Anheuser-Busch, and UFC president Dana White. This brand is connected to Hendrick Motorsports, the racing team where Busch first began his NASCAR Cup Series career as a rookie in Las Vegas back in 2005.

Busch’s eldest son, Brexton, was born in 2015 and is already building his own racing career, with plans to enter the Craftsman Truck Series at age 16. His daughter Lennix, born in 2022 through surrogacy, is younger by seven years, arriving after Busch and his wife Samantha’s well-known battle with infertility.

Busch is scheduled to participate in practice and qualifying sessions at World Wide Technology Raceway on Saturday, with the 240-lap race set for Sunday at 3:00 p.m. ET. This event is the penultimate race in NASCAR’s Round of 16, a critical stage in the championship playoffs.

Although the veteran Chevy driver will not be competing in this year’s postseason—having missed both a race win and sufficient points—he remains the most victorious active driver in NASCAR. Busch’s 63rd career Cup Series win came last year at the same World Wide Technology Raceway, positioning him ahead of runner-up Denny Hamlin, who has 58 wins.

Kyle Busch’s Dedication Amid Intensified Racing and Family Responsibilities

Despite an increasingly demanding schedule balancing family life, sponsor obligations, and racing, Busch emphasized that Sunday race days remain his highest priority. He described his NASCAR career as the essential foundation supporting all other aspects of his life.

Reflecting on his commitment, the two-time Cup Series champion commented:

“Sunday is my priority […] It has to be my No. 1 because if I’m not successful on Sunday, none of this other stuff happens and is possible.” —Kyle Busch

However, Busch admitted that recent on-track outcomes have not matched his efforts:

“But being able to be busy and being able to put the focus on the Sunday stuff, meeting with Randall [Burnett, crew chief], all those guys during the week, I bet you I have worked more in the last three years than I did in the previous 15 altogether, and the results aren’t there.” —Kyle Busch

“Why? I don’t know. I wish I had a magic wand. It’s just not there. But that is definitely at the front of our minds.” —Kyle Busch

Though the results have been disappointing for Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet, he remains committed to Richard Childress Racing (RCR), recently extending his contract through the 2026 season. He will continue racing alongside teammate Austin Dillon, who secured a playoff position with a victory at Richmond Raceway last month.

Upcoming Challenges and the Path Forward in NASCAR

Busch’s family workout session not only highlights his dedication to personal and familial well-being but also underscores the complex balance he maintains between his racing career and home life. As he prepares for another challenge at the World Wide Technology Raceway, his focus remains on maximizing performance on race day despite recent struggles.

With his contract secured through 2026 and a steadfast commitment to improvement, Busch’s experience and legacy continue to influence both the sport and his family’s future in racing. His son Brexton’s emerging career suggests a new generation of Busch racers on the horizon, maintaining the family’s strong connection to NASCAR.
