Lewis Hamilton Reveals His Dog Roscoe’s Love for Fancy Sneakers and Bougie Style Moments

Lewis Hamilton has often been seen with his bulldog, Roscoe, during Formula 1 race weekends, and the seven-time champion recently opened up about his 12-year-old pet’s unique love for fashionable sneakers. Hamilton shared how Roscoe carries around his sneakers, revealing a playful side of the pair’s close bond.

Since adopting Roscoe in 2013, Hamilton and the bulldog have become an iconic duo in the F1 paddock. Roscoe will also be featured on the cover of Vogue’s Dogue Magazine, a publication dedicated to dog parents and their beloved pets.

In a recent Vogue interview, Hamilton described how Roscoe seems to have inherited some of his personality traits. The driver confessed that his dog is a true sneaker enthusiast and quite selective about shoe style, saying:

“He likes fancy, fancy sneakers. He picks up my Dior trainers and always takes them with him. He’s so bougie.”

Hamilton has shared many moments with Roscoe both within and beyond the racing world, underscoring the special relationship between the two.

A Memorable Movie Outing with Roscoe

During the British Grand Prix, Hamilton brought Roscoe along, marking one of their many shared experiences. Despite Hamilton’s busy F1 schedule, the bulldog maintains a routine that at times diverges from his owner’s.

One amusing story Hamilton recounted involved taking Roscoe to see a 3D screening of Guardians of the Galaxy.” Hamilton described the unusual outing with a mix of humor and affection:

“I don’t know if it’s strange, but I went to the movies with him a couple of times. The first time I went was to watch Guardians of the Galaxy. It was just him and me. It was 3D, and he sat on the chair next to me, and I put 3D glasses on him, and he sat there watching it for five minutes, and I just couldn’t stop laughing. I couldn’t focus on the movie. He’s just sitting there, he’s watching. You could tell he is so confused. And then he passed out on the chair, and he was snoring the whole movie. And everyone in the theater was laughing because you could hear him snoring loud.”

While Roscoe has accompanied Hamilton to various events, the driver has not yet revealed whether the bulldog will attend other Formula 1 races regularly. For now, Hamilton continues to compete in the 2025 season predominantly without his canine companion by his side.

Hamilton’s Focus on Improving the 2025 Season

Lewis Hamilton has faced a challenging start to the 2025 Formula 1 campaign, with his best finish being fourth place on three occasions. Meanwhile, teammate Charles Leclerc has taken the lead role within the Ferrari team, finishing closer to the front of the grid.

Hamilton is aiming to enhance his performance in the latter half of the season as he seeks to close the gap and return to the top positions. His ongoing partnership with Roscoe remains a source of personal comfort amid the pressures of racing.
