Lewis Hamilton Reveals He’s Writing His First Animated Movie—Here’s What to Expect

Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton has announced that he is currently writing his first movie, marking a significant step into the film industry. The seven-time world champion, known for his dominance on the track, is developing an animated film, creating anticipation for this new creative endeavor.

Hamilton’s interest in filmmaking has been clear since he founded his production company, Dawn Apollo, in 2022. His involvement in the recent F1 Movie inspired him to pursue further projects, and during a fan event in Barcelona before the Spanish Grand Prix, he confirmed his new venture.

“I’m writing my first movie right now,”

Hamilton said in a video shared by F1’s TikTok channel.

“I don’t know how long it will take because I’ve never written one before. It’s an animation – that’s all I’ll say. And it will be funny.”

Challenges and Pressure on the Track with Ferrari

While Hamilton expands his creative pursuits, his performance in Formula 1 faces scrutiny after his recent switch to Ferrari, set to continue through the 2025 season. Despite high expectations, Hamilton has yet to achieve a podium finish in his 10 races for the Italian team. Positioned sixth in the drivers‘ standings ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix, he trails teammate Charles Leclerc and his former Mercedes replacement, Kimi Antonelli.

The pressure grows as Hamilton seeks to silence critics who question his form amid growing frustration visible during race weekends. Despite this, Hamilton remains confident in his ability to secure an eighth world title with Ferrari, aiming to make history with the iconic racing team.

Hamilton’s Broader Influence in Motorsport and Beyond

Hamilton has been instrumental in preserving key moments in F1 history, including saving Martin Brundle’s role in the F1 movie. Meanwhile, the racing landscape is shifting, with major teams like Red Bull discussing driver changes, further intensifying competition in the sport.

As Hamilton balances his commitments on and off the track, his move into filmmaking reflects his desire to build a legacy beyond racing, blending his passion for storytelling with his extensive experience in motorsport.
