Luca Marini Confident for French Grand Prix Le Mans, Eyes Strong Qualifying and Race Progress

Luca Marini, the Italian rider for Honda HRC Castrol, arrives at the French Grand Prix in Le Mans feeling confident after a strong run of four consecutive top-ten finishes. Following a productive post-race test in Jerez, Marini is focused on maintaining his consistency while aiming to improve his qualifying performance on the iconic 4.19-kilometer circuit this weekend.

Marini’s recent performances have shown a steady evolution, reflecting his ability to adapt and progress throughout the race weekends.

“Each weekend we have been able to build our pace and take steps throughout, we need to keep doing this,”

the rider explained, highlighting his continuous development especially during race day. Marini’s approach has emphasized gradual improvement, which has boosted his competitiveness and race results this season.

During the Jerez test, Marini and his team worked on new features for the Honda RC213V, exploring advancements that could benefit future races.

“In Jerez we got to try some things for the future and now we need to keep working and trying to make progress,”

he noted, underlining the importance of ongoing technical refinement as part of his strategy at Le Mans.

The layout of the French circuit suits both Marini’s riding style and the strengths of his motorcycle, with heavy braking zones benefiting his racing approach.

“There is a lot of heavy braking in Le Mans which should suit us, I am looking forward to having another weekend of good battles on track like in Jerez,”

Marini shared enthusiastically, anticipating competitive duels in round six of the 2025 championship.

Marini’s primary goal for the weekend is to advance in qualifying, aiming to secure a spot in Q2 and build a strong starting position for the race.

“Let’s hit the ground running and focus on getting into Q2 to prime ourselves for the races,”

he concluded with determination to surpass last year’s performance and continue his streak of consistent results, which has established him as one of the season’s most reliable riders.
