Marc Marquez Vows Flawless Ride as He Targets MotoGP 2026 Glory

Marc Marquez is gearing up for the next chapter in his career as he sets his sights on MotoGP 2026 following a dominant performance at the Japanese Grand Prix. Having secured his seventh MotoGP World Championship title, Marquez now aims to maintain peak performance throughout the final rounds of the 2025 season while preparing for the challenges ahead that lie beyond this year’s races.

Marquez Focuses on Continuous Improvement Amid Championship Success

Fresh off an impressive victory weekend in Japan, the seasoned Spaniard is already shifting attention to the upcoming Indonesian Grand Prix and beyond. Despite recently clinching the world championship, Marquez insists that the work has just begun for next year.

“Yeah, this weekend we start already the work for 2026,”

he said, underscoring his drive to sharpen his skills and optimize bike setups to capture further victories.

His motivation stems not only from triumph but also from a desire to perfect his craft by avoiding unnecessary errors that might undermine his efforts.

“The first target is to try not to do stupid mistakes because when you achieve your main target, the adrenaline comes down and then sometimes you don’t have the same concentration,”

Marquez explained. This cautious mindset highlights his awareness of the dangers of complacency even after significant achievements.

Reflecting on Career Pressure, Marquez Embraces the Present Moment

Throughout his long and illustrious career, Marquez has faced immense pressure to consistently perform at elite levels. He recalled an earlier phase when he focused intensely on winning every race:

“A long time ago, I was winning and there remained some races; it was like I wanted to arrive to the next one, attack and win everything.”

However, after weathering a challenging season, the champion now prioritizes enjoying his success without being overwhelmed by stress.

“Right now, I just want to enjoy it,”

he affirmed, demonstrating a balanced approach between high ambition and personal satisfaction.

Strategizing for Upcoming Challenges and Record-Breaking Goals

With five races left in the current season, Marquez has already secured 11 wins, bringing him close to his personal single-season record of 13 Grand Prix victories. Confident yet pragmatic, he said,

“Now I’m on eleven? Yeah, we can, because I think about Phillip Island and Valencia,”

referring to tracks where he has historically performed well.

Nevertheless, some circuits ahead are less favorable for him, including Mandalika, Malaysia, and Portimao.

“Mandalika, Malaysia and Portimao are not the best ones on the calendar for me, but I can defend,”

he stated, indicating a strategic mindset focused on maintaining his lead while managing difficult courses.

Preparing for a High-Stakes Finish and Beyond

As the 2025 MotoGP season speeds towards its climax, Marc Marquez’s focus remains razor-sharp. Beyond celebrating his current triumph, he is committed to refining his performance and minimizing mistakes, preparing for a fiscal final push and the highly anticipated 2026 campaign. Fans and rivals alike are closely watching as the nine-time Grand Prix Champion embarks on this promising phase, balancing intensity with experience to remain a dominant force on the track.
