Maverick Viñales, now racing for Red Bull KTM Tech3 in MotoGP, is showing impressive progress with the RC16 bike, having secured two consecutive top-five finishes this season. Despite a penalty that cost him second place at the Qatar Grand Prix, Viñales is rapidly adapting, which he credits for his improved performances on the track.
The Spanish rider explained that each lap helps him get more comfortable with the bike, making riding feel easier compared to the start of the season. “I just ride now,” Viñales said,
“I don’t have to think too much like I did while adapting to the bike.”
This increased familiarity allows him to push the limits more naturally.
With more experience, Viñales and his team are better equipped to prepare for each race weekend. He highlighted that early in FP1 sessions, he can now take the bike to its maximum, helping optimize settings and plan for crucial qualifying laps. This growing confidence brings a sharper focus to their race strategies and enhances their overall competitiveness.
The quick adaptation of Maverick Viñales to the RC16 signifies a promising trajectory for the rider and the team this season. As he continues to build momentum, fans and experts alike anticipate stronger results ahead, further elevating his status in the MotoGP field.
