NTT INDYCAR Series Returns to Phoenix Raceway in 2026

The NTT INDYCAR SERIES will make a comeback to Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, March 7, 2026, for an eagerly awaited event, the track confirmed. This race will coincide with the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series to create a dynamic doubleheader weekend in the Valley of the Sun, marking the first Indycar event at the venue since 2018.

Rich History and Revival of Open-Wheel Racing at Phoenix

Phoenix Raceway first hosted INDYCAR SERIES competitions in 1964, establishing itself as a key venue in open-wheel racing history. Over five decades later, its return to the NTT Indycar Series highlights the track’s long-standing reputation as a proving ground for many of the sport’s top drivers and legends. Returning to this historic 1-mile oval track reconnects today’s racing with that rich heritage.

Latasha Causey, Phoenix Raceway President, expressed enthusiasm about the revival:

“We’re thrilled to welcome the NTT INDYCAR SERIES back to Phoenix Raceway,”

This combined format is designed to deliver an unforgettable racing experience to fans attending the doubleheader on Saturday.

Adding to the weekend’s appeal, the spring schedule will also feature the NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, March 8, alongside an ARCA Menards Series race, with further event details to come.

Looking Ahead to NASCAR Championship Weekend and Upcoming Events

In the meantime, Phoenix Raceway is preparing for the 2025 NASCAR Championship Weekend, scheduled for October 31 through November 2.
