Marc Márquez Confirms Pedro Acosta’s Ducati Future Looks Promising: “Faster Than KTM, Super Talented”

Following his victory at the Aragon Grand Prix, Marc Márquez shared his thoughts on Pedro Acosta’s potential in MotoGP, particularly regarding rumours linking Acosta to Ducati in the coming seasons. Márquez acknowledged Acosta’s racing talent and hinted that a Ducati ride could suit him well, especially compared to his current KTM machinery.

Acosta’s Possible Move to Ducati and Performance So Far

Speculation suggests that Pedro Acosta may join the VR46 Ducati team in 2026, replacing an as-yet-unconfirmed rider. When questioned about Acosta’s prospects on a Ducati Desmosedici, Márquez was optimistic but cautious, saying,

“I don’t know. Better than KTM? Yes.”

He highlighted Acosta’s speed and skill without making definitive predictions about his future achievements.

Recognition of Acosta’s Talent and Race at Aragon

Márquez praised Acosta as a “super-talented rider,” noting his impressive performances across different racing categories and his strong showing at Aragon. In the recent race, Acosta finished fourth, staying ahead of all other KTM riders and challenging Francesco Bagnaia for a podium spot before crossing the line. Márquez said,

“The level, as we know, Acosta is a super-talented rider. He showed in the previous categories and he’s showing right now. Today he did an incredible race.”

Looking Ahead to Acosta’s Development and Ducati Future

While Márquez admires Acosta’s pace and skill, he stopped short of making firm projections, stating simply,

“But I don’t know what he will do. Fast, of course.”

The talented Spaniard continues to demonstrate strong early-season form, and his possible move to Ducati is seen by many as a natural next step that could further unlock his potential in MotoGP.
