Chance Hymas (born May 25, 2005) is an American professional Motocross and Supercross racer. Since turning professional, Hymas has competed for the factory Team Honda HRC squad, where he has achieved significant milestones including his first professional overall victory in the 2024 AMA National Motocross Championship. Known for his versatility, Hymas has also shown prowess in American off-road racing.
Early Life and Background
Chance Hymas was born on May 25, 2005, in Pocatello, Idaho, USA. He grew up around motorcycles and the sport of motocross, shaped heavily by his family environment. His father owns a motorcycle dealership, which gave Hymas constant access to bikes, riders, and a working knowledge of the industry from a young age.
That early exposure helped Hymas establish himself quickly as one of the top prospects in the American amateur ranks. He began collecting podium finishes at the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship aboard KTMs in 2015 and 2016, signaling his potential as a future professional.
