NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney and his wife, Gianna Tulio, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child in 2025. The couple, who married last December after the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, recently shared the joyful news with their fans on Instagram.
Sharing the News and Preparing for Parenthood
In a joint Instagram post released several weeks ago, the Blaneys revealed their pregnancy along with a sonogram image. The caption read:
“Been keeping a secret for far too long, but finally ready to share. Baby Blaney coming 2025!”
As the due date approaches, the couple has been visibly preparing for their new addition. Tulio posted a story showing Blaney deciding between a black and grey stroller, dressed casually in a cream shirt, navy shorts, and a grey cap, with the caption: It’s gettin real @ryanblaney10.
The Couple’s Relationship and Growing Family
Blaney and Tulio’s relationship began in July 2020, leading to an engagement late in 2023 and a wedding less than a year later. Now, just months after their marriage, they are transitioning into parenthood and embracing the changes ahead.
Concerns Amid High-Speed Racing Risks
While excitement surrounds the pregnancy, Tulio’s concerns have intensified given the dangers of Blaney’s profession. Racing at speeds nearing 200 mph exposes him to significant risks, including crashes, concussions, and fatalities. Tulio acknowledged during an interview on Haley Dillon’s podcast that she did not fully comprehend these dangers when they began dating but has become more aware through firsthand experiences with accidents.
To manage her anxiety, Tulio explained she has trained herself not to panic without cause, recognizing that constant worry would be overwhelming. She admitted, however, to nervous habits such as nail-biting and frequently reminding Blaney that her main hope is for him to finish races safely. She stated:
“As long as he finishes safely, that’s all that matters at the end of the day.”

Blaney’s Past Incidents Highlight the Danger
Blaney has faced several close calls on the track, notably a frightening crash during practice in Las Vegas last season. Crashing into the outside wall before the South Point 400, he radioed about experiencing head pain. Fortunately, medical evaluation later ruled out a concussion, preventing a more serious injury.
Anticipating New Beginnings Amid Racing Challenges
As Ryan Blaney and Gianna Tulio prepare to welcome their child, they also navigate the intense realities of the racing world. The birth of their baby signifies a major new chapter, adding profound personal meaning to Blaney’s career. The couple’s cautious optimism highlights the balance between the thrill of NASCAR and the desire for safety and family stability moving forward.
