NASCAR Star Ryan Preece to Sign Autographs, Kick Off ROC Night Before The Glen at Chemung

The Race of Champions Modified Series will continue one of the Southern Tier’s most beloved traditions this Saturday, August 9, at Chemung Speedrome with the

“Night Before The Glen – Rod Spalding Classic.”

NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece from Berlin, Connecticut, will enhance the event by signing autographs and serving as the honorary starter for the 75-lap Modified Series feature. This appearance marks a significant highlight in the night’s schedule, connecting Ryan Preece ROC Chemung Autograph opportunities directly to fans.

Honoring Rod Spalding’s Legacy Through Racing and Community Support

The event pays tribute to Rod Spalding, a well-respected Modified competitor who earned the Sportsmanship of the Year Award at Shangri-La Speedway before his career ended due to a crash at Orange County Speedway. His impact on the racing community continues through the Spalding Foundation for Injured Drivers, which supports racers in the region facing challenges. This dedication to sportsmanship and support underscores the event’s deeper significance beyond the track.

Comprehensive Racing Program with Multiple Series on the Card

Saturday’s headliner will be the 75-lap Race of Champions Modified Series, offering $5,000 to the winner. The evening’s schedule also includes the Race of Champions Late Model Series, the Race of Champions FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series as part of the RoC-In Summer Tour, and the Chemung Hobby Stocks class. This lineup promises an exciting evening of grassroots racing action, attracting fans from across the Southern Tier and beyond.
