Scott McLaughlin will compete in the upcoming Daytona 24 endurance race in a Corvette Z06 GT3.R, partnering with Charlie Eastwood, Salih Yoluc, and Mason Filippi in the GTD class. The move places McLaughlin, known for his IndyCar achievements, at the forefront of the highly anticipated event taking place on January 25-26 (AEDT), highlighting the Scott McLaughlin Daytona 24 story.
Transition from Porsche Test to Corvette Opportunity
Last year, McLaughlin tested with the Porsche Penske Motorsport GTP team at Daytona, sparking speculation about his inclusion, along with IndyCar teammate Josef Newgarden, in the Porsche 963 squad. Ultimately, the Penske team decided to maintain its established three-driver lineup, leaving McLaughlin to seek alternate options for the iconic race.
New Lineup Bolsters DXDT Racing Roster
McLaughlin will now take to the grid with DXDT Racing, piloting the Corvette Z06 GT3.R in the GTD category. His teammates include Charlie Eastwood, Salih Yoluc, and Mason Filippi, with this entry marking McLaughlin’s second consecutive Daytona effort with the Corvette platform. Filippi has also been announced as a full-time driver for the 2026 IMSA SportsCar Championship, though his co-driver for that season is yet to be confirmed.

Team principal David Askew expressed confidence in the group of drivers assembled for Daytona.
