Trackhouse Racing has named Todd Meredith, the former chief at Joe Gibbs Racing, as their new president of racing operations. The announcement comes as Meredith prepares to re-enter the NASCAR Cup Series, bringing decades of industry experience to the team’s leadership.
Meredith, who joined Joe Gibbs Racing in 1992, was instrumental in helping the organization develop into a championship-contending powerhouse. Most recently, he served as Joe Gibbs Racing’s chief operating officer from 2013 to 2016 before stepping away from NASCAR competition roles.
Leadership Vision and Team Growth
Meredith expressed enthusiasm about his return, explaining a strong connection to the sport and confidence in Trackhouse Racing’s direction. He shared,
“I feel at home in NASCAR and wanted to return in some form,”
highlighting his motivation for coming back.
Discussing his conversations with Trackhouse owner Justin Marks, Meredith remarked,
“The more I talked with [team owner] Justin [Marks], the more I was excited by his vision of Trackhouse Racing.”
He acknowledged the team’s successes and ambitions, adding,
“The team is very talented and quite successful, as you have seen in the last few months, but we want even more.”
Justin Marks Welcomes Meredith’s Expertise
Team owner Justin Marks praised Meredith’s extensive background and leadership skills upon the announcement. Marks stated,
“We’re thrilled to welcome someone of Todd’s caliber and experience to help guide Trackhouse from the top.”
Marks also emphasized Meredith’s strengths in building culture, making strategic choices, and swift decision-making, which he believes will be crucial during Trackhouse’s upcoming growth phase:
“His focus on culture, strategy, quick decision making and organization will be a massive shot in the arm for this company as we navigate a pivotal growth period in the history of Trackhouse Racing.”
Current Team Structure and Future Prospects
Trackhouse Racing has clarified that existing competition leaders will continue in their roles but will now report to Meredith. Business, marketing, and partner relations will remain under Chief Revenue Officer Andrew Lukanich’s oversight, maintaining stability in those areas during this leadership update.

The team appears poised for significant developments, with plans to introduce a new driver to replace Daniel Suarez starting in 2026. Additionally, two of Trackhouse’s drivers are already secured in the 2025 playoffs, underscoring the team’s competitive momentum.
Significance of Meredith’s Appointment
Todd Meredith’s arrival signals a strategic step for Trackhouse Racing as they seek to build upon recent successes and expand their influence in the NASCAR Cup Series. His experience with a top-tier racing organization like Joe Gibbs Racing positions him well to drive operational improvements, enhance team culture, and support future competitive achievements.
With a new driver lineup on the horizon and a leadership team focused on growth, Trackhouse Racing looks set to strengthen its presence in the sport and pursue higher performance in forthcoming seasons.
