The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will return to Colorado with a new race scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, at the El Paso County Raceway in Calhan. This event, called the Rocky Mountain Rumble, marks the first time in ten years that The Greatest Show on Dirt will visit the state since its 2016 debut at the same venue.
Colorado’s History with the World of Outlaws
Colorado has hosted a total of 36 World of Outlaws races across three different tracks: 21 at Colorado National Speedway, 14 at Rocky Mountain National Speedway, and one previously held at El Paso County Raceway. This new 2026 date will revive the series’ presence in the state after more than a decade.
Upcoming Tour Schedule and Regional Stops
Prior to reaching Colorado, the series will race across Kansas with events at Belleville High Banks on September 11 and Dodge City Raceway Park on September 12. After the Rocky Mountain Rumble, the top Sprint Car drivers will head west for a two-week tour along the West Coast, with locations to be announced later.
Ticket Information and Viewing Options
Tickets for both the Rocky Mountain Rumble at El Paso County Raceway and the Gunslinger Stampede at Dodge City Raceway Park are currently available for purchase. Fans who cannot attend in person will have the option to watch every race live through DIRTVision’s streaming service.
Significance of the Return to Colorado
Bringing The Greatest Show on Dirt back to Colorado after a decade reflects the growing interest and support for sprint car racing in the region. This addition to the 2026 schedule offers local fans a rare chance to experience top-level sprint car competition and strengthens the World of Outlaws’ presence in the Rocky Mountain racing community.
