Brad Keselowski Opens Up on Daytona Chaos and Comeback

Brad Keselowski discussed the end of the race where he attempted to get Corey LaJoie into the event at Daytona. He explained that their team followed the plan by moving all four cars to the front and executing a solid pit strategy. However, chaos unfolded with a wreck on the backstretch, affecting multiple drivers, including Ryan Preece and LaJoie.

Keselowski admitted uncertainty about the final moments, stating,

“At the end I’m not really sure what happened. Somebody got in the back of Corey. Just really disappointing. We were in a spot to get him in the race.”

He described the situation as typical Daytona unpredictability:

“To go from having four cars in control of the race to three of ’em torn up and only one of ’em in the top five is quintessential Daytona.”

Brad Keselowski’s Return to Racing After Injury

Now eight weeks after suffering a broken leg, Keselowski shared his feelings about being back behind the wheel. He said the physical strain of moving around is still challenging, but once seated inside the car, he feels more comfortable.

“Yeah, being in the car feels great. Walking to and from the car, not so much. The seats in these cars mold to the body, which helps. The seat is my home, you know? It feels good,”

Keselowski explained.
