Seventeen-year-old Brent Crews, a Toyota development driver, will compete in 12 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races in 2026, piloting the No. 19 Young Life Toyota GR Supra. This announcement comes as part of a collaborative effort between Young Life and Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), highlighting both motorsport competition and a meaningful partnership.
Shifting Focus to Emerging Talent After Championship Success
After clinching the Owners Championship title in 2025 with experienced driver Aric Almirola, the No. 19 team is now turning its attention to rising stars. This opportunity was made possible by The Signatry, whose innovative donation of title sponsorship allowed Young Life to take the helm on the JGR No. 19 Toyota GR Supra for the 2026 NASCAR season.
Legacy of Faith and Mentorship Drives the Partnership
The connection between JGR and Young Life is grounded in a long-standing legacy of discipleship and faith work, tracing back more than 40 years to J.D. Gibbs’ early involvement in Young Life clubs during high school. Now, Brent Crews is not only a driver but an active participant in this mission, aided by his Young Life mentor, Miller Gibbs, who is J.D. Gibbs’ son and Coach Joe Gibbs’ grandson.
It is a huge honor to drive the No. 19, but having Young Life on the car means something different to me personally,
said Crews, who will debut in the series this season.
I’ve had the opportunity to participate in a Young Life camp event at Windy Gap with Miller Gibbs as my mentor, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to put the Young Life Toyota up front.

Impressive Racing Record Fuels Optimism
Crews enters the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series as the newest rookie, boasting a strong season in 2025 with five wins and six pole positions across the ARCA Menards Series East, West, and the main series. In addition, he has led over 100 laps and secured multiple top finishes in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, showcasing both skill and promise as a developing driver in the Toyota program.
Continuing J.D. Gibbs’ Enduring Influence
The Gibbs family’s commitment to Young Life continues through initiatives like the J.D. Gibbs Campership Legacy Fund, which helps remove financial obstacles for children to attend Young Life camps, offering life-changing experiences centered on faith and community. J.D. Gibbs’ involvement extended beyond personal participation, having served on the Young Life Board of Trustees prior to his passing in 2019.
We are excited to see Brent behind the wheel, not just because of his talent, but because of who he is,
said Joey Jimenez, Young Life’s Chief Development Officer.
Last year, we saw Young Life on a championship car. This year, we see the mission coming full circle—a teenager driving the car that honors J.D.’s memory. It is a perfect picture of generational impact.
2026 Season to Begin at Circuit of the Americas
The No. 19 Young Life Toyota GR Supra will make its first appearance of the 12-race 2026 season at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on February 28. This campaign blends competitive racing with a purpose-driven message, reflecting the bond between motorsports and faith-based outreach fostered through the Gibbs family and Young Life partnership.
