Carson Hocevar Seals Long-Term Deal with Spire Motorsports

Carson Hocevar officially secured his future with Spire Motorsports through a long-term contract announced on Thursday, promising to keep the 23-year-old driver in the No. 77 Chevrolet for years to come. This agreement ensures that Hocevar will remain a key figure in the team’s plans throughout the next decade, offering stability for both the driver and sponsors alike.

Originally joining Spire Motorsports in a multi-year deal announced in October 2023, Hocevar stepped up to compete full time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024 under that arrangement. The new contract solidifies his position well beyond his initial commitment.

“During contract negotiations i think i asked if it could read ‘if i had a pulse, I would be driving a spire race car,’ but into the next decade sounds good too. I am here for a long long time in the sport I loved as a kid. thank you, to everyone that has stuck by me,” Carson Hocevar wrote on X.

2025 Performances Highlight Value in Spire Motorsports’ Commitment

Hocevar’s 2025 season demonstrated his growing influence within Spire Motorsports. The driver earned nine top-10 finishes, including two second-place results, highlighted by his first career Cup pole and leading a personal best number of laps. His strong performances consistently placed him near the front of the pack.

Despite on-track progress, Hocevar’s 2025 year faced some challenges off the track. After a controversial livestream comment about Mexico City, the team fined him $50,000 and required him to complete sensitivity training. Spire Motorsports chose not to disclose specific financial terms or the contract’s concluding year.

Additionally, the contract includes an expanded role for Hocevar in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, with plans for him to compete in multiple events throughout 2026.

Upcoming 2026 Schedule Includes 13 NASCAR Truck Series Races and Double Duty at Daytona

Looking ahead to 2026, Carson Hocevar is scheduled to compete in 13 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races behind the wheel of the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado. His season will kick off with a demanding doubleheader at Daytona International Speedway.

Hocevar will begin with the Fresh From Florida 250 on February 13, backed by co-primary sponsors IKEA and Best Buy, followed by the iconic Daytona 500 on February 15. As a Michigan native, Hocevar brings solid experience to these events, boasting five career Truck Series victories—the most recent of which was secured at Kansas Speedway last year.

His entry into the 2026 NASCAR Cup season started at the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, where he finished 15th after qualifying 12th in the 200-lap competition won by Ryan Preece.

Broader Implications of Hocevar’s Contract for Spire Motorsports

Securing Carson Hocevar on a long-term deal positions Spire Motorsports to build continuity and strengthen its brand identity with a promising young driver at the helm. Hocevar’s affinity for the sport since childhood and his commitment to the team reflect a mutual dedication to growth and success.

His expanded schedule in both the Cup and Truck Series presents more opportunities to develop his skill set and deliver strong results for sponsors such as IKEA and Best Buy. This contract strengthens Spire’s presence across NASCAR’s top racing divisions, solidifying its competitive future.

As Hocevar continues balancing multiple race commitments and adapting to the evolving demands of high-level competition, the team and its followers will be watching closely to see how this partnership influences his career trajectory and Spire Motorsports’ performance on the tracks ahead.
