Lando Norris (born 13 November 1999) is a British racing driver who competes in Formula One for McLaren. Norris was runner-up in the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship in 2024 with McLaren, and has won 11 Grands Prix across seven seasons. He carries car number 4 and is widely regarded as one of the leading drivers of his generation in the sport.
Born in Bristol and raised in Glastonbury, Norris holds dual British and Belgian citizenship through his English father and Belgian mother. His mother, Cisca Norris, is from the Flanders region of Belgium and gave him the name Lando, which Norris has stated was not inspired by the Star Wars character Lando Calrissian.

Early Career (2014–2018)
Norris started his racing career at the age of eight, claiming pole position at his first national karting event. In 2013, he won the CIK-FIA European Championship and the CIK-FIA International Super Cup in KF-Junior, as well as the WSK Euro Series. The following year, he won the CIK-FIA World Championship in KF class with Ricky Flynn Motorsport, making him the youngest karting world champion in that category. In 2014, he also made his car racing debut in the Ginetta Junior Championship, finishing third overall and winning the Rookie Cup.
