The Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup is beginning to take form with the announcement of several teams and riders competing in the inaugural season aligned with the MotoGP calendar. The first official team presentation took place in Jakarta, where Niti Racing showcased their Harley-Davidson Road Glides and confirmed their two riders, Oscar Gutierrez and Dimas Ekky Pratama, who will race for the Indonesian squad.
Both riders bring substantial experience to the championship. Oscar Gutierrez is a well-known figure from the MotoGP paddock, having just completed two full seasons in the MotoE World Championship, the series that will soon transition into the Harley-Davidson single-brand competition. The 26-year-old Spaniard earned five victories and five additional podiums during those seasons, finishing third overall in 2024 and tenth the previous year. In 2023, Gutierrez also participated in three Moto2 World Championship Grand Prix races for MSi Racing, stepping in for the injured Sergio Garcia, alongside several races in the European championship.
Dimas Ekky Pratama, 33, has a background in the Moto2 World Championship with the Honda Asia team in 2019 but endured a significant injury that sidelined him for four months, interrupting his progress in Grand Prix racing.
Confirmed Riders from Multiple Teams Set to Compete
Alongside Niti Racing’s duo, three other teams have confirmed their rosters for the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup. The US-based Saddlemen Race Development team was among the first to reveal their complete lineup, choosing Jake Lewis and Cory West, both established riders in the MotoAmerica series.
Joe Rascal Racing also announced its participation, introducing 19-year-old Archie McDonald, an emerging talent from Australia. McDonald boasts international experience, having competed in the European STK600 championship and the Australian Supersport series, where he narrowly missed the championship title in 2025, finishing just 12 points behind Jack Mahaffy.
The selection of the remaining riders for Joe Rascal Racing’s Australian team is still pending, as are the rider announcements for Cecchini Racing. Cecchini Racing stands out as the only Italian team confirmed for the series thus far, adding a European presence to the competition.
