Hinchcliffe & Henneberry Kick Off 2026 NTT INDYCAR Flag Raise

On February 25, FOX Sports INDYCAR analyst James Hinchcliffe and FOX Sports pit reporter Georgia Henneberry joined J. Douglas Boles, President of INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), to raise the official NTT INDYCAR SERIES flag above the iconic Pagoda at IMS. This event marked the ceremonial start of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season and showcased the newly commissioned flag provided by IMS’s partner Flags For Good.

Flags For Good will now serve as the Official Flag supplier for IMS, including grandstands, gates, the Pagoda, and key race events such as the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard Weekend. This collaboration highlights the importance of flags to the Speedway’s identity and history.

Flag Partnership Reflects IMS’s Rich Heritage and Commitment to Sustainability

J. Douglas Boles emphasized the significance of the flag raising, stating,

“Raising the NTT INDYCAR SERIES flag over the Pagoda with a few of our friends from FOX is the perfect kickoff to the season,”

and added,

“Showcasing a partner like Flags For Good during this momentous occasion highlights just how important flags are to us here at IMS.”

The use of flags is deeply embedded in the Speedway’s identity, symbolizing its storied past and ongoing traditions.

Michael Green, Founder and CEO of Flags For Good, remarked on the shared values between his company and IMS:

“IMS has flags woven into its identity, history and even its logo.”

He further explained,

“Flags are a critical part of motor racing, so it makes sense that it is the first sport we dive head-first into as a flag company. Flags For Good is honored, and frankly thrilled, to partner with the historic Speedway just down the road from our HQ in the heart of ‘Speed City.’”

Flags For Good is a mission-driven Indianapolis-based flag company focused on symbolic meaning and social impact. Through its Make Good Waves initiative, the company donates $1 from every flag sale to charitable causes worldwide. Highlighting its commitment to sustainability, Green explained,

“The flags we produced for IMS are made of cutting edge CiCLO biodegradable polyester,”

adding,

“Working with Hemptex, we developed a flag that delivers the strength, durability and color performance of polyester, enhanced with this innovative technology to help reduce the persistence of microplastic fibers shed into the environment. By integrating CiCLO at the fiber level, the polyester is engineered to break down more like natural fibers, such as wool. For the first time, high-performance flags are engineered for durability and responsibility.”

Profiles of Hosts James Hinchcliffe and Georgia Henneberry

James Hinchcliffe, a Toronto native, began serving as a FOX Sports race analyst for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2025, the inaugural season on FOX. Throughout his driving career, Hinchcliffe earned recognition as the 2011 NTT INDYCAR Rookie of the Year. He achieved 16 podium finishes and six wins while competing for Andretti Autosport, Newman/Haas Racing, and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. His popularity in the sport is demonstrated by his receipt of the INDYCAR Fan Favorite Award twice, in 2012 and 2018.

Georgia Henneberry, originally from St. Louis, joined FOX Sports as an INDYCAR reporter in 2025 after covering the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and INDY NXT by Firestone for NBC Sports in 2024. She also reported on the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship for The Roku Channel. Henneberry’s connection with INDYCAR began in 2019 when she contributed to IMS’s Month of May large-screen video programs aimed at enhancing fan engagement. Progressing to a host and reporter role, she toured with the series through the 2022-2024 seasons before transitioning to NBC Sports and ultimately FOX Sports.
