Jack Miller’s recent race at Misano was defined not only by his 12th-place finish but also by his spirited effort and interaction with fans. The Prima Pramac Yamaha rider endured a tough race but remained determined, highlighting that the final position did not fully reflect his performance. His resilience during the race and his connection with the crowd stood out throughout the weekend.
Struggles and Highs During the Race
Miller described his race as a contest split into two distinct phases, admitting that the early laps were costly. He faced difficulty regaining his rhythm after the start, which impacted his time on track.
“We lost a lot of time in the opening laps trying to get back into rhythm. After that, I felt pretty comfortable on the bike. Between laps eight and six, I was at my best.”

A key challenge came from the bike’s stiffness, caused by a full fuel tank, which interfered with acceleration and weight transfer. This made handling the bike more demanding as the race progressed, and fatigue eventually affected Miller’s performance.
Near the end of the race, on the final lap, Miller encountered a tense moment at the sharp turns 11 and 12.
“I braked hard between Turns 11 and 12, and the bike started to move dangerously. It was déjà vu of Saturday morning — absolutely crazy.”

A Playful Gesture That Resulted in a Fine
Despite the tough race, Miller’s connection with the fans was evident after the event. During his cooldown lap, he noticed a spectator holding a sign reading, Gloves for a beer. Miller stopped, returned about 30 meters, and handed over his gloves to the fan. However, the promised beer never arrived, and Miller later received a €2,000 fine for his gesture.
“I didn’t get the beer, and I got a fine on top of it,”
Miller laughed.
“But honestly, it was worth it. The fans make this sport what it is, and I’m delighted to have these moments.”

Focus Shifts to Testing and Future Progress
Rather than dwelling on the fine or the race outcome, Miller immediately turned his attention toward preparations for the next season. He highlighted Yamaha’s ongoing development efforts with optimism, preparing for upcoming tests.
“Tomorrow I’m back on the V4 for the final test of 2025. We’ve worked hard and there’s still a long way to go, but I’m happy with how we’re handling things.”
—Jack Miller, MotoGP Rider
Miller concluded the weekend with candid reflection, acknowledging the progress made but expressing his ongoing pursuit to match the pace of the leaders. His drive and honesty remain key elements of his approach moving forward.
