Lewis Hamilton’s Mission 44 Reaches 500,000 Young People

Lewis Hamilton, the renowned Formula 1 driver, has announced a major milestone for his charity by providing a Lewis Hamilton Mission 44 update, sharing that the initiative has impacted over 500,000 young people throughout the United Kingdom, United States, and Brazil. Mission 44 was founded by Hamilton in 2021 with the purpose of advancing diversity and inclusion within motorsport.

Charity Foundation Makes a Lasting Impact

Since its inception, Mission 44 has been dedicated to breaking down barriers and creating new opportunities for youths from underrepresented backgrounds. Initiatives include inspiring young people, supporting motorsport scholars, and building networks that expose students to the inner workings of Formula 1. Hamilton has personally invested in hosting beneficiaries at prominent racing events, helping them engage directly with the world of motorsport.

“Hi everyone, I just wanted to update you on where we’re at with Mission 44. Setting up Mission 44 has been one of my proudest achievements, honestly. We’re working hard to drive change and create a fairer, more inclusive future for kids around the world,”

Hamilton shared in an update posted on the Mission 44 social media channels.

Achievements and Personal Connections

Hamilton has been hands-on with the foundation, meeting scholars at major races, including Silverstone. The Mission 44 scholarship program has already produced noticeable results, with students gaining employment within the Formula 1 industry.

“Meeting our incredible motorsport scholars at Silverstone this year was a real highlight and I’m really proud of the scholarship. It’s great to see that the students secure jobs in F1, so we’re seeing real progress. Thank you to everyone for the amazing work and being a part of this mission. There’s much more to come. So stay tuned. Take care.”

Growing Support from Formula 1

In 2024, Mission 44 formed an official partnership with Formula 1 to expand the scope and awareness of its initiatives. This collaboration aims to open career pathways and apprenticeships for young people from diverse communities, with Formula 1 lending its platform and resources to amplify the charity’s impact.
