Louis Vuitton has entered the second year of its multi-season partnership with Formula 1 by unveiling tailor-made trophy trunks for race winners worldwide, as part of its signature Victory Travels collection. These bespoke trunks will accompany champions during the 2026 Formula 1 season, marking the luxury brand’s deepening involvement in the sport.
Before the season began, all 22 drivers from 11 teams gathered in Bahrain for pre-season testing and posed beside the FIA Formula One World Championship trophy, which was displayed inside the exclusive Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk. The traditional photo opportunity highlighted both the sport’s prestige and the brand’s craftsmanship.
Ongoing Partnership and New Role at Monaco Grand Prix
Throughout 2026, Louis Vuitton will transport 24 custom-designed trophy trunks alongside the Formula 1 paddock to future race locations. In addition to these unique trunks, Louis Vuitton announced plans to become the official title sponsor of the upcoming Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, effective before the end of 2025.
Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, described this new role by stating,
“Becoming title partner of the Monaco Grand Prix was a natural decision, given that our relationship has only grown stronger since 2021,”
highlighting the alignment between the French fashion house and Formula 1. He further emphasized,
“This partnership echoes the values of both the principality and the Automobile Club de Monaco and allows us to celebrate victory and excellence, making the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2026 one of the highlights of the season.”
Trackside Presence and Upcoming Season Changes
Louis Vuitton’s branding will be visible throughout all major trackside venues during the 2026 season, blending elements inspired by Formula 1’s speed and innovation. This collaboration marks a significant evolution in the relationship between the luxury brand and motor racing.
The 2026 Formula 1 season also introduces several technical changes: cars will be built smaller and lighter, and the competition calendar will feature new participants. Notably, two fresh teams—Cadillac Formula 1 Team and Audi Revolut F1 Team—will join the grid. Additionally, the schedule expands with the debut of the Madrid Grand Prix on September 11, offering a novel location for the championship.
Anticipated Impact of Louis Vuitton’s Formula 1 Involvement
Louis Vuitton’s enhanced involvement, exemplified by the creation of exclusive trophy trunks and the Monaco Grand Prix title sponsorship, underscores the brand’s commitment to celebrating excellence within the sport. As Formula 1 evolves with new regulations and fresh competitors, the partnership adds an element of luxury and heritage to the racing calendar, enriching the experience for champions and fans alike.
The upcoming season, beginning with the Australian Grand Prix at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit on March 7, promises excitement on and off the track, with Louis Vuitton’s presence strengthening ties between high fashion and motorsport prestige.
