NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out Clash Rescheduled to Wednesday

The NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out Clash, originally set to take place at Bowman Gray Stadium, has been postponed to Wednesday due to Winter Storm Gianna impacting Winston-Salem and surrounding areas in North Carolina. The decision was made to ensure the safety of attendees and allow emergency resources to focus on storm response.

Justin Swilling, the project lead, stated,

“gives us the best opportunity to hold this event with fans at Bowman Gray Stadium while allowing the City of Winston-Salem to dedicate all of their resources to respond to the needs created by this historic weather event,”

emphasizing the importance of balancing the event with community needs during the severe weather.

Updated Schedule for NASCAR Activities

Practice and qualifying sessions for the NASCAR Cup Series are planned to start at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday; however, these activities will not be televised. These adjustments accommodate the rescheduling while providing fans access to key races during the day.
