Team Penske has officially expanded its collaboration with Clarience Technologies, a Michigan-based firm specializing in transportation safety, visibility, and digital solutions, ahead of the 2026 IndyCar season. Scott McLaughlin, along with teammate David Malukas, publicly welcomed the strengthened partnership as Team Penske prepares for next year’s races.
Clarience Technologies Deepens Its Role with Team Penske
Clarience Technologies first joined forces with Team Penske in 2023 at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, marking their initial foray into IndyCar sponsorship by appearing on the shark fin of Josef Newgarden’s car. Since then, Clarience has served as an associate sponsor, steadily increasing its presence. For the 2026 season, the company is elevating its involvement by featuring prominently on Scott McLaughlin’s No. 3 Chevrolet in two major events — the Detroit race on May 31 and the opening race of the Milwaukee Mile doubleheader on August 29.
Reflecting on the partnership, McLaughlin expressed optimism:
“Clarience Technologies is another great new partner for the No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet. They are a proud brand on the rise, just like the INDYCAR SERIES. We take a lot of pride in getting new partners their first win, and I’m confident we can do that for Clarience Technologies.” – Scott McLaughlin, Team Penske driver
New Penske driver David Malukas, stepping in for Will Power, will carry the Clarience Technologies logo on his No. 12 Chevrolet’s shark fin throughout the entire 2026 season, further solidifying the company’s visibility within the team’s racing efforts.
Jonathan Diuguid, president of Penske Racing, emphasized the value of this evolving alliance, stating,

“Clarience Technologies is an industry-leading brand that is a welcomed addition to our INDYCAR SERIES primary partner lineup. It is always great to see a relationship grow organically because it means the partnership is mutually beneficial. We look forward to getting them to Victory Lane this season.” – Jonathan Diuguid, Penske Racing President
Extension of Technical Cooperation Between Team Penske and AJ Foyt Racing
In parallel to its sponsorship developments, Team Penske continued to strengthen its technical alliance with AJ Foyt Racing (AFR), which initially began late in the 2023 season. Under this collaboration, Penske supplied AFR with crucial dampers and technical support, contributing to the veteran team’s performance improvements. Michael Cannon, who served as AFR’s Technical Director, played a pivotal role in facilitating this synergy before his departure prior to the 2025 season.
Despite Cannon’s exit, the partnership persisted into 2025, yielding notable results including multiple podium finishes. Looking ahead, both teams agreed to extend their alliance through the end of the 2027 season, signaling a long-term commitment to collaborative growth and competitiveness.
AFR’s driver lineup for 2026 will feature Santino Ferrucci and Caio Collet, the latter having finished as runner-up in the 2025 Indy NXT championship. Meanwhile, David Malukas made the transition from AFR to Team Penske after just one year, benefiting from the extensive technical data gained due to the ongoing alliance.
Looking Forward to an Intensified 2026 Season
The expanding partnerships and technical alliances position Team Penske for a promising 2026 season, with new branding opportunities and driver lineups aimed at maximizing performance. Scott McLaughlin’s confidence in securing Clarience Technologies’ first win together captures an optimistic outlook, while the continued collaboration between Team Penske and AJ Foyt Racing indicates the organization’s broader strategy to enhance competitiveness through shared expertise.
As the season approaches, these developments reflect both strategic growth and a shared commitment to success within the IndyCar series landscape, promising exciting racing action and stronger team dynamics in the months ahead.
