John Force Racing has announced a multi-year partnership with Speedmaster, a recognized leader in high-performance automotive parts, to co-primary sponsor Josh Hart’s Top Fuel Dragster in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Alongside Burnyzz Speed Shop, Speedmaster will back Hart’s team, marking a significant collaboration ahead of the new season.
The Burnyzz Speed Shop/Speedmaster Top Fuel Dragster, driven by Josh Hart, is set to make its first appearance at the NHRA’s 75th anniversary season opener, the AMALIE MOTOR OIL NHRA Gatornationals, held at Gainesville Raceway in Florida from March 5 to 8.
Expanded Partnership Across John Force Racing’s Funny Car Teams
In addition to supporting Hart’s Top Fuel team, Speedmaster will serve as an associate sponsor on all three Funny Car teams fielded by the 24-time championship-winning John Force Racing organization. These teams feature drivers Jack Beckman, Alexis DeJoria, and Jordan Vandergriff, further strengthening Speedmaster’s involvement in the NHRA circuit.
Company History and Vision Behind the Partnership
Speedmaster, founded in 1979 as a small engine shop named Pete’s Performance, has grown from its modest beginnings into a global brand with over 500 employees across three continents. The firm designs, engineers, and manufactures more than 25,000 automotive parts, fostering not just a product line but a lifestyle and community within motorsports.

“Speedmaster has always admired what John Force Racing represents, an unmatched legacy built on performance, resilience, and winning at the highest level,”
said Jason Kencevski, CEO of Speedmaster.
“Becoming part of that legacy through a multi-year partnership is a proud moment for us. Having Josh Hart behind the wheel representing Speedmaster and Burnyzz is incredibly exciting. Josh is a driven, successful CEO, and there’s a strong alignment between his mindset and our vision. This partnership brings together legacy and the next generation, and we believe it helps set a powerful example for young entrepreneurs and leaders across the automotive industry.
“We hope this partnership becomes a North Star for younger leaders in our industry who want to build something meaningful, competitive, and lasting. It reflects why Speedmaster is one of the only aftermarket manufacturers holding a primary sponsorship role in the NHRA Top Fuel ranks.”
Josh Hart’s Role in Securing Sponsorship and Team Owner’s Praise
John Force, who has won the NHRA Funny Car World Championship 16 times and owns the team, highlighted Hart’s unique contribution to their sponsorship efforts.
“I’ve chased sponsors for decades, and had people chase sponsors for me almost as long, but this is the first time I’ve had a driver put a sponsorship program together,”
Force said.
“Josh had the relationship with Jason and Speedmaster and he made the deal so he deserves the credit. I’m just thrilled to be a part of it and have this partnership across all our race cars.”
The Significance of This Partnership Moving Forward
This collaboration marks a meaningful blend of established racing heritage with innovative leadership, as represented by the veteran John Force Racing team and the entrepreneurial spirit of Josh Hart. As Speedmaster doubles down on its commitment to competitive motorsports, the partnership is expected to inspire younger leaders within the automotive industry to pursue long-term success both on and off the track.
With the prospect of a strong presence in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series this season, the alliance between Speedmaster, Josh Hart, and John Force Racing could set a new benchmark for sponsorship and team dynamics in drag racing.
