The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix event will feature a busy support program, including Formula 2, Formula 3, and local categories such as Supercars and the Carrera Cup. The rescheduled Supercars timetable is designed to accommodate the main F1 race while offering competitive racing across multiple days.
Supercars Activities on Thursday and Friday
Thursday stands out as the most demanding day for Supercars with two practice sessions scheduled at 10:35am and 12:25pm AEDT. This will be followed by consecutive qualifying sessions commencing at 2:20pm to establish the starting grids for Race 1 and Race 2. The first race will take place at 5pm AEDT. Notably, Race 2 has been moved from an earlier afternoon slot to an evening start at 5:30pm AEDT on Friday, marking a significant shift from previous years.
Saturday and Sunday Events Leading to Grand Prix
Saturday’s schedule involves back-to-back qualifying sessions starting at 9am AEDT to set the lineups for Race 3 and Race 4. Race 3 is planned for 5:30pm AEDT that day. On Sunday morning at 10:10am AEDT, Race 4 will be held, positioned between the Formula 3 and Formula 2 events. The first three Supercars races will each cover 19 laps, while the final race on Sunday will be a shorter 14-lap sprint.
