Kamui Kobayashi is a Japanese racing driver and motorsport executive competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Toyota and in Super Formula for KCMG. He competed in Formula One from 2009 to 2014, becoming the first Japanese driver to podium at the Japanese Grand Prix in 22 years with a third-place finish in 2012. A decorated endurance racer, Kobayashi has won two FIA World Endurance Championship titles, the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans, and consecutive 24 Hours of Daytona races in 2019 and 2020. Since 2022, he has served as Toyota’s WEC team principal, guiding the manufacturer to three consecutive World Manufacturers’ Championship titles through 2024.
