Michael George Salinas is an American professional NHRA drag racer competing in Top Fuel and Pro Mod categories. Born April 27, 1961, he made his professional NHRA Top Fuel debut in 2011 before transitioning to a full-time schedule in 2018. Salinas is the first person in motorsports history to reach 300 mph in the 1/8th mile, a historic speed milestone. Across his professional career, he has secured nine event wins in NHRA competition spanning multiple seasons. In 2021, he expanded into Pro Mod racing in the NHRA E3 Spark Plugs Series alongside his Top Fuel commitments. Entering the 2025 season with Scrappers Racing, Salinas remains a proven contender at the highest levels of drag racing.
