Tyler Reddick Snags Second NASCAR Pole of 2025 at ROVAL

Tyler Reddick secured his second Tyler Reddick NASCAR Pole of the 2025 Cup Series season by posting the fastest lap at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL on Saturday. His lap time narrowly surpassed Shane van Gisbergen’s effort, setting the stage for Sunday’s Bank of America ROVAL 400.

Reddick’s Strong Performance at Charlotte’s Challenging Road Course

Reddick completed the circuit in 85.939 seconds around the twisting road course integrated into Charlotte Motor Speedway. This lap gave him the edge over Van Gisbergen, who recorded a slower time of 95.971 seconds. This pole marks Reddick’s second for the season, matching his earlier success on the road course at Circuit of The Americas in March. Notably, it is also his second time starting from the pole at the ROVAL, having earned that spot previously in 2023.

Van Gisbergen has dominated NASCAR Cup Series road course races recently, winning the last four events. The only driver besides him to triumph on a road course this season is Christopher Bell, who won at the Circuit of The Americas.

Starting Lineup and Notable Qualifying Developments

Behind Reddick and Van Gisbergen, Ty Gibbs secured the third starting position. Kyle Larson and Chris Buescher followed in fourth and fifth places, respectively. However, Erik Jones will start last in the 37-car field after his team, LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, chose to forgo qualifying due to a power steering issue discovered with his No. 43 car on Saturday.
