Why Nobuatsu Aoki Sees Aprilia as a Good Match for Bagnaia

Nobuatsu Aoki, former Suzuki 500cc rider, suggests that Aprilia’s MotoGP bike could suit Bagnaia’s riding style exceptionally well. Unlike Yamaha’s financial advantages, Aprilia offers a motorcycle that excels in cornering, matching Bagnaia’s skills on the track. Meanwhile, Acosta could benefit from riding a Ducati that complements his powerful braking abilities.

“If these transfers were to take place, it would be a major shuffle,”

Aoki told Young Machine. “Of course, at this stage it’s just a rumour, but there’s no smoke without fire…”

“Personally, I think any of the transfers would be interesting. The ones that seem particularly compatible would be Bagnaia to Aprilia and Acosta to Ducati.

“Bagnaia is the type of rider who can ride any machine, and he seems to suit the Aprilia, which is a cornering machine. If Acosta rides a Ducati, he should be able to make the most of his inherent braking skills.”

Balancing Performance and Earnings: Bagnaia’s 2027 Dilemma

Bagnaia’s decision may hinge between joining Yamaha, which reportedly offers a more lucrative contract, and signing with Aprilia, which could provide a machine better aligned with his riding style.
